Testimonio
Concepto general La palabra testimonio procede del latín testimonium, declaración testifical ante los jueces. En griego el vocablo martyr designaba al testigo, y martyrion al testimonio en el sentido jurídico del término. El griego clásico y los Setenta emplean tales palabras para indicar que alguien ha presenciado un hecho y puede declarar acerca del mismo (cfr. TWNT, IV,481-484).
