Qinghai
El lago Qinghai, al noroeste de la provincia.Transcripción antigua: Tsinghai. Provincia del centro-oeste de China. 721.000 km². 5.390.000 habitantes (2004). Limita con las provincias de Gansu y Sichuan y las regiones autónomas de Tíbet y Xinjiang. Su capital es Xining. Ubicada en una remota región al oeste de las provincias históricas de China propiamente tal, constituye la zona nordeste de la meseta del Tíbet, situada en su mayor parte a más de 3.048 m de altitud.
