Marie-François Sadi Carnot
(Limoges, Francia, 11-VIII-1837 – Lyon, Francia, 25-VI-1894). Estadista francés. A partir de 1871 fue miembro del Parlamento representando a la izquierda moderada. Ministro de Hacienda en 1885-1886. Accedió a la presidencia de la república en 1887, apoyado por Clemenceau. Gran respeto por la Iglesia favoreció la aproximación de los católicos al Régimen Republicano.
